Yucatan Discovery
Embark on a captivating journey through the cultural and natural wonders of Yucatán. Your adventure begins with a traditional regional breakfast of huevos motuleños in the charming Magical Town of Motul—an authentic taste of local flavors to start the day.
Our next stop is Hacienda San Eduardo, one of the few remaining henequen estates in the region. Here, you’ll step back in time and learn about the golden era of the “green gold” that shaped the Yucatán’s economy and culture.
From there, we’ll venture to Xcambó, a fascinating ancient Mayan ceremonial site nestled between mangroves and the coast. This lesser-known archaeological gem offers a peaceful and mysterious atmosphere, perfect for history and nature lovers alike.
The journey continues to Xtampú, a traditional salt mine still in operation today. Discover the ancestral methods of salt extraction and take in the stunning pink hues of the salt flats. It’s also a haven for birdwatchers—keep your eyes open for cormorants, herons, and the iconic pink flamingos.
To end the day, unwind with two hours of free time at the Puerto Progreso boardwalk. Stroll along the shore, enjoy a refreshing drink, or simply admire the panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico and the world’s longest pier stretching into the sea.
